Wednesday marked the end of American television host David Letterman’s run as host of “Late Show”. Letterman was host of the show for nearly 23 years, interviewing some of Hollywood’s greatest like Madonna, Chris Farley, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Will Smith, Johnny Depp plus other great celebrity and musical guests.
Letterman will be dearly missed in the late show world, as he is the last of the legendary hosts to leave the desk. The “Late Show with David Letterman” has been nominated for a plethora of Emmy’s over the years easily being one of the most watched television programs of all time.
The final show featured Tom Hanks and Bill Murray as guests for the show. Stephen Colbert, the host of the Comedy Central talk show “Colbert Report” will replace Letterman as the host of the show.
