Genesis 22: “Then God said take your son — Isaac whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain that I will show you.”
What would you do if God asked you to give up the one thing you loved most in this life? It could be anything from a job, a relationship, a friend, a pet, a family member or even a social status.
Would you trust him enough to know that his request of you is for your own good? God is a God of provision, foresight and timeless omnipotence. He knows the end to the story before we begin living it.
Personally, it is a daily struggle to remember the end of that story. While God did not take Isaac and provided for the sacrifice; the most important lesson to be learned is trust.
It is important to know who and what you trust in the supernatural and natural worlds.
Be careful of your loyalty and allegiances. Keep watch over those who dwell in your inner sanctum. If those you trust make no provisions to honor the loyalty you bestow, then you may want to reconsider the alliance.
Think on it.
