We come to love, not by being perfect people but by knowing someone perfectly. Not only knowing them but being able to know and acknowledge those things that are acceptable and those that are not.
Relationships fail not because of boom and bust, finances or lack of empirical love. They fail because we fail to work daily to understand the other party perfectly. It’s as simple as a good morning kiss, a random thinking-of-you text, honoring simple agreements or a how was your day.
A genuine desire to know and understand cultivates a bond, not bondage. With that being said, be not fearful of vulnerability or exposure. Sometimes it does not require words but action is always better.
